Temple Square/Conference Center

While in Salt Lake, we were able to go visit the Conference Center, it is where The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hold their bi-annual meetings that is broadcast worldwide. It is one of the few places I have not seen around Temple Square.

You are able to take a tour of the whole building, but with having a toddler I asked if we could just see the roof. The roof is designed to be like a mountain. It has trees and plants and fountains, it is a beautiful garden. Our tour guided told us we missed when all the flowers are in bloom by a couple of weeks.

This piece of artwork is on top of the building and when you look at it you can see your reflections in it.

This is one of the views from on top. This is looking over at Temple Square. Other views are of the Capital building and the U on the mountainside (it is for University of Utah).

After touring the top of the building, we went over to Temple Square. There was a lot of construction going on but we were able to go into a couple of the buildings. Here is Leia posing in front of the Statue of Christ in one of the visitor centers.
